Sentosa Island
A quarter mile way from the southern coast of the main island of Singapore lays Sentosa, a 5 square kilometer island. The Images of Singapore museum offers life-sized dioramas and wax figures showcasing Singapore’s history, customs and traditions while Fort Siloso, was the largest British coastal artillery battery of the Singapore’s Fortress. Built in 1880s to guard the narrow western entrance to Keppel Harbor, Fort Siloso is the only preserved British coastal fortification that allows the history and its role as a concentration camp for prisoners of war during the Japanese occupation to relive.
