Asian Civilisations Museum
ACM is the first museum in the region to exhibit an extensive view about Asian culture and civilization. The museum was founded with the aim of promoting a better understanding of the rich multi-ethnic heritage of Singapore.
Located at the Empress Place Building, the museum houses 11 thematic galleries with over 1,300 artifacts showcasing cultures of different groups originating from China, South Asia, and Southeast Asia to West Asia. With its state-of-the-art display and interactive technologies incorporated in the galleries, visitors would surely appreciate more the multi-faceted aspects of Asian cultures. There is also the Singapore River Gallery that reveals the heart-rending story of immigrants who once lived and work along the Singapore River.

The National Museum of Singapore.
With its inception in 1887 The National Museum of Singapore is the oldest museum in the country with the youngest and most innovative soul. The museum houses exhibitions and galleries focusing on the history of Singapore.
The Museum of Singapore has an iconic architecture, with its renaissance and neo Palladian architecture harmoniously joined by contemporary extension of glass and metal. Constructed as a two parallel rectangular blocks, this dome building was designed by Henry McCullum and J. F. Mc Nair.
This museum introduces cutting-edge exhibits. The Singapore History Gallery traces back the significant events in Singapore’s history. Its Living Galleries feature the four life-style themes-food, fashion, film and wayang and photography. Special exhibits are also shown in the museum.

Singapore Philatelic Museum

Singapore Philatelic Museum is one of the most celebrated museums of Singapore and the first of its kind in Asia. Started in August 1995, the museum aims to kindle the interest in stamps and to promote the appreciation of Singapore’s history and heritage. The museum houses a massive collection of stamps from early Singapore – way back from 1880’s to present, the museum also presents a wide selection of stamps from around the world. Also part of the collection are the rare archival materials such as essays, proofs, specimens and the stamps issued in the early Strait Settlements.
The interactive Heritage Room of the museum allows the visitors experience the joy of the festivities as well as try on different ethnic costumes. The museum has high interactive and educational activities that would surely let the visitors enjoy their exploration of the culture and heritage of Singapore’s multi-ethnic groups. The theme galleries of the museum houses interesting exhibition throughout the year- such as private collections of famous philatelists, commemorate stamps issues and other thematic compositions.

Science Centre Singapore

The highly acclaimed Science Centre Singapore is situated along the Science Centre Road Singapore. The Centre seeks to promote the science and technology education to the public. It has a rich collection of educational exhibits of modern and ancient science themes, with more than 850 interactive exhibits, illustrating the wonders of science.
Apart from the main galleries of the centre, another must observe is the Omni Theatre, the only IMAX dome theatre in Singapore. The dome can accommodate 276 people and with its 5-storey high screen and sophisticated sound systems it can surely provide an electrifying cinematic experience. There is also the Kinetic Gardens, a blend of art and science. It is the first outdoor interactive science garden in which the 35 interactive sculptures are being displayed within a pleasant garden environment. Visitors must also find time to see and experience the Snow City and the stargazing at the Observatory.

Peranakan Museum

The Peranakan Museum is the first of its kind in the world. The museum has a broad collection of Peranakan artifacts. The museum delves into the culture of Peranakan communities in Singapore, other former Straits Settlements in Malacca and Penang as well as in Southeast Asia.
Housed in the Old Tao Nan School building at Armenian Street, this boutique museum has three levels of 10 permanent galleries illustrating the traditions, rituals, and culture of the Peranakans. There are also two special exhibition galleries that features changing specific-themed exhibition.
With its advanced audio and visual effects the Peranakan Museum would surely provide an enjoyable and educational experience to its visitors.

Singapore Art Museum

The Singapore Art Museum was built with a goal to preserve and present the art histories and the contemporary art practices of the country as well as the Southeast Asian region. Housed in a stunningly restored school building at Bras Basah Road, the museum has the largest collection of modern and contemporary Southeast Asian art works.
It has 13 galleries that feature sculptures, paintings and installations from its permanent collection of modern and contemporary art. The museum also hosted some travelling exhibitions including the masterpiece of artist like Leonardo da Vinci and Chen Wen Hsi.

Reflections at Bukit Chandu
Reflections at Bukit Chandu is a World War II interpretative centre developed and managed by the National Archives of Singapore, located on Bukit Chandu (Opium Hill) off Pasir Panjang Road in Singapore. The Centre was officially opened Dr Tony Tan (then Singapore Deputy Prime Minister & Minister for Defence) on 15 February 2002. This date also marks the 60th anniversary of the fall of Singapore in 1942.
The gallery showcases the life in Syonan-To (Singapore) during the Japanese Occupation. Divided by themes the tour will begin with a staged tunnel which documents the final days of the war leading to the downfall of Singapore up to the return of the British, and the period of rebuilding and setting Singapore on its road to independence.
There is also the Syonan Garden a hushed garden that emanates picturesque, old-fashioned charm. There you can find variety of food crops that were widely grown during the Occupation.
